Lidl to open stores in Serbia and the USA as of 2018?

The German supermarket chain Lidl will open tens of stores across the USA starting 2018. According to the German business daily Handelsblatt, Lidl should also enter the market of Serbia in 2018.
- The USA is a strategic market for us. We will start with tens of stores on the east coast, in Virginia, West Carolina, South Carolina, Merryland, and Washington - Sven Seidel told Handelsblatt.
Germany's Lidl, an affiliate of the Schwarz group, one of the largest distributor of food products alongside the US market chain Walmart and the famous Carrefour from France, is going to create 200 jobs in the USA to prepare for the penetration of the US market.
Lidl, which is famous for its discount sale of products, wants the retail space in the USA to be more pleasant and up to date.
According to Handelsblatt, Lidl is going to open stores in Lithuania in 2016 and in Serbia in 2018. With Aldi supermarkets already available in the USA, Lidl will be the second German supermarket chain to operate in this country.
Aldi operates in the USA for more than 40 years through more than 1,375 stores, and this retailed intends to increase that number to about 2,000 by 2018, AFP reports.
