"Doncafe's" factory opened in Pećinci - 18,000 tons of coffee on annual basis

President of Serbia, Boris Tadić, opened a factory of "Doncafe" in Pećinci last night (September 19, 2007), which is worth more than 10m EUR.

Among the rest, founder of "Strauss" group, Michael Strauss, president and CEO of "Strauss" group, Erez Vigodman, vice president of "Coffee Straus" group, Arik Gilboa, and General Manager of company "Doncafe", Milan Petrović, addressed the present.

Factory "Don Cafe" will have processing capacity of about 18,000 tons of coffee on annual basis, and when it starts to work at full steam, production will reach 30,000 tons of coffee per year.

New "Doncafe's" factory includes exhibit center and exclusive coffee showroom. Storage space, which is settled in the building, has room for about 2,000 palettes of ready-made products and for about 800 tons of raw coffee, with the possibility of simultaneous storing of 18 different qualities. Frying capacity is 5 tons of raw coffee on daily basis, and all products are packed in either protected atmosphere or vacuum packaging, which guarantees preservation of freshness.
