Tourist Organization of Austria represented its offer in Belgrade and established cooperation with Serbian agencies

Tourist Organization of Austria has organized workshop “Tourism of Austria” in hotel "Hyatt". Both Austrian and Serbian tourist agencies participated in this workshop in order to establish closer cooperation.

Of 12 tourist regions, Vienna, Koruska, Province of Salzburg, Styer and Tirol were presented separately, because these are the destinations most often visited by tourists from Serbia.

Representatives of Austrian tourist economy especially pointed to the programs that will be organized during the European Football Championship from June 7 to 29, 2008, and they promised that the prices of the arrangements would be favorable.

Last year, Austria was visited by about 30m tourists who had 119m overnight stays. Austria is best known for its winter tourism and skiing, but it also develops summer programs that include swimming, scuba diving and lake surfing, as well as paragliding and medical wellness programs.

More and more tourists are coming to Austria for various cultural manifestations. Tourists from Serbia are mainly staying in Tirol that has great ski runs and ski lifts.
