Serbia, Macedonia, Greece and Turkey have been invited to join the construction of Bulgarian nuclear plant Belene. The invitation has been sent by president of Bulgaria, Georgi Prvanov. The idea was presented in Varna on June 16. Unofficially, the first talks have been led with the colleagues from the region.

By the way, Bulgaria is the country that covers deficits of electric power in the region, but, due to announced joining to EU, it will have to turn off the only nuclear plant it owns - Kozloduj (Jastrebac Niš, former big manufacturer of pumps, also took part in equipping of that plant)
