Superstructure of water factory in Novi Sad in final phase - Project valued at EUR 10 million

Expansion of the water treatment plant to include an ozonation facility, active coal filters and a tank of 10,000 cubic meters has entered the final stage. As people at the public utility company Vodovod i Kanalizacija noted, construction of access roads to the new sections of the water treatment plant is underway, while rough construction works are already completed.
The next few weeks will see the laying and reconnection of pipes within the plant for the purpose of connecting new facilities to the system, which will be followed by a test run and gradual commissioning of the water treatment facility that should guarantee an impeccable quality of water at the exit from the plant in Suncani kej Street.
This entire project, which was launched March 2014, is financed with the proceeds of EUR 10 million loan approved by the European Investment Bank, which Vodovod i Kanalizacija is repaying from its own resources. The works are expected to take about two years to complete, but new facilities may be put into operation as early as in the spring 2016.
