Dusan Spasojevic is the new ambassador of Serbia to Greece, it was announced in the Official Gazette.

A decree on the appointment of Spasojevic as the ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Serbia to Greece comes into effect on the day of its publication in the Official Gazette.

The decree was signed by Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic.

Spasojevic (1974) graduated from the Law Faculty in Belgrade and took an M.A. degree in International Relations at the London School of Economics and Political Sciences with the thesis "European Integrations Through Regional Cooperation: European Union and Western Balkans".

Prior to his diplomatic career, he worked for the Federal Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Defense Ministry.

In the period 2010-2013, he served as the ambassador of Serbia to Turkey.

Spasojevic wrote a number of essays on international relations for the professional magazine International Politics.

The president of the Republic of Greece gave him the Medal of Honor in 2007, while the Italian president decorated him with the Order of the Star of Italian Solidarity in 2009.
