Deadline extension expected for use of Russian loan for railways

Serbian Finance Minister Dusan Vujovic said Friday that the Serbian delegation had got the assurances during their visit to Moscow that deadlines would be extended for the use of part of the loan for railways that the Russian government had already granted to Serbia.

- Representatives of Russia's national railway firm said it was almost for certain that deadlines for the use of the loan already approved to Serbia would be extended, meaning that we would be given some realistic time frame to use these funds for the modernization of the Belgrade-Subotica railroad - Vujovic told TV Pink, commenting on the talks between Serbian officials and the representatives of Russian Railways.

He reminded that Serbia had a huge loan that the Russian Federation had granted to Serbia through its national railway firm.
