Zabalj without production, sugar plant in Crvenka operates with full capacity

Due to a significantly smaller area planted with sugar beet this year - 39.000 ha compared to 74.000 ha in 2014, Greek company, Hellenic sugar started campaign only in its sugar plant in Crvenka.

Still, none of 160 employees from another plant owned by the company, in Zabalj, was dismissed but they were transferred to work in Crvenka.

For two months the sugar plant has been working with full capacity. They process daily 8.000 tons of sugar beet and produces 1.000 tons of sugar, and a large portion of production is for export.
