The first domestic gluten-free products available in shops


As of today, buyers will be able to get products of the first local plant for production of gluten-free food "Aleksandrija Fruska gora", at the shops of the biggest trading chains in the country.
Company’s gluten-free products were produced on the basis of millet, buckwheat and corn, using local knowledge and development of local technology, company reps outlined.
Company’s president, Tomislav Kovac, said that the investment in the new Curug0based department totals app. EUR 2, 5 m, stating that company experts in cooperation with the Faculty of agriculture in Zemun and other responsible institutions in a year, succeeded in developing gluten-free products and get essential analysis and certificates.
They mainly used experience from Japan and China with whom the Faculty of agriculture cooperates with on scientific projects, he said.
Certification institution Pancert Novi Sad confirmed that this company’s products are 100 % gluten-free providing them with a certificate based on laboratory analysis and expert opinion issued by the Center for staples analysis from Belgrade.
