More than EUR 2,5 billion transferred from Serbia to offshore zone - By the end of August 2015, EUR 1,4 billion transferred

Companies operating in Serbia, transferred in 2014 to off shore zone more than EUR 2,5 billion and in the first eight months this year a total of EUR 1,4 billion.

According to the National Bank of Serbia (NBS), the major part of transfer was directed towards the Netherland EUR 1,5 billion. At the same time, EUR 548 m was transferred to Luxembourg, while EUR 47 m went to offshore zone in the Virgin British Islands.

The list of countries where money from Serbia went comprises Switzerland, Cyprus, Cayman Islands, Monaco, Marshall Islands, Panama, etc. It is outflow based on current, capital and financial payments, NBS specified for Blic.

Off-shore companies are a legal way of business and much cheaper and easier than in the countries which are not considered to be tax heavens.
