Cousins have priority in getting jobs - "Alapis", new owner of "Šumadijalek", took on unusual obligation

Company "Alapis" from Athens, which became the majority owner of Čačak-based drug factory "Šumadijalek" on the tender, took on one obligation that is not so common.

According to that obligation, if there is need for hiring new workers, the priority will be given to the cousins of the employees.

As the best bidder, Greek company bought 68.25% of assets of "Šumadijalek" on tender, which cost 12.06m RSD the moment the contract was signed, on September 10.

Manager of Čačak-based company, which deals with trade in drugs, Živojin Obradović, says that the Greeks took on the obligation to invest 1.6m EUR, as well as the obligation that, in case of the need for new manpower, priority will be given to cousins of current 65 workers.

Additional social program implied that up to 10% of workers can be fired as surplus manpower in the first business year and that they must obtain 350 EUR per year of work.

This compensation is reduced in the second year of operations to 250 EUR and 200 EUR in the third year.

The new owner of "Šumadijalek", who already owns drugs factories in Bulgaria and Romania, will give salaries that will be at the level of the average salaries in the first six months of this year, increased by 5%.
