New railway gage introduced for needs of "U.S. Steel" - about 31m RSD invested in construction

General Manager of "Serbian Railways", Milanko Šarančić, put the new - sixth gage in station Radinac into operation. This railway gage has been built only for the needs of company "U.S Steel Serbia" in Smederevo.

Šarančić said that the new gage, 720 m long, had been built within two months and that about 31m RSD had been invested in its construction.

- New gage will enable 20% larger capacity of transportation of products of "U.S. Steel", with the possibility of direct transportation of goods to foreign countries - Šarančić explained.
