What do ABR's annual financial data show? - Serbian companies generate loss of more than a billion euros?
Last year, Serbian companies lost EUR 1,1 billion which is four times greater minus than in 2013, the data from the annual report which the Agency for business registries prepared but did not publish show and which Danas has seen today.
The intensity of rapid fall of local economy is shown in the fact that in 2013, the loss of all Serbian companies totaled EUR 300 m, to increase four times in only a year. According to preliminary calculations, Serbian gross domestic product last year fell by 1,8% compared to 2013, but the data of ABR show the loss of Serbian companies in 2014 was higher even than 4,17% of GDP in 2013.
According to the ABR’s report, companies which in 2014 operated in red reported 14,7% higher loss compared to previous year while companies which were in plus last year reported 6,8% lower profit than in 2013. Another very bad indicator is a drastic fall in sales profit of almost 50%. Companies had for a fifth less money on their accounts although they indebted by 7,7% more than in 2013.
