"Telekom Srbija" to get rivals - great interest in VOiP and WiMax licenses in Montenegro

On the tender of the Telecommunication Agency of Montenegro for allotment of five licenses for provision of services of Voice Over Internet protocol, so-called "VOIP", 11 companies bought tender documentation, while three companies bought documentation for two licenses for "WiMax" technology.

The deadline for delivery of bids for WiMax licenses is September 15, and September 22 for bids for VOIP. So far, three licenses have been issued for WiMax (which enables wireless fixed telephony, Internet television) to "Telekom Srbija", which is also the owner of the third mobile operator of mobile telephony "MTEL", companies T-Mobile and BBM, which should start with work soon.

VOiP technology should introduce cheaper telephony services on the market of Montenegro.
