In spite of giving best offer, fifth attempt of "Delta" to enter market of Slovenia unsuccessful - "Istrabenz" sold stocks to "Infond holding"

The fifth attempt of "Delta" to enter the market of Slovenia in the past five years failed.

Chances for realization of the new intention of "Delta" to buy 28.3% of stocks of company "Istrabenz" in the largest Slovenian market chain "Mercator" were this time bigger than any time before. The offer of Serbian holding was prolonged on two occasions with, of course, significant increase in price. Initial offer of "Delta" was 4 EUR higher than the second best bid.

However, without respecting the fact that there were three public offers for its share in "Mercator", "Istrabenz" sold the stocks to the fourth bidder! Although "Delta's" offer was the best, "Istrabenz" sold its securities to company "Infond holding", which is the largest owner of "Pivovarna Laško". After this unexpected transaction, it now owns 25% of company "Mercator", which is one step away from the takeover.

People from "Delta holding" did not want to give any comment on the news about sale of stocks everybody was interested in.
