"Knauf" opened new production line in Factory of stone wool in Surdulica - Germans invested 17m EUR so far

On Friday (September 7, 2007), German company "Knauf" opened a new production line in Factory of stone wool "Knauf Insulation" in Surdulica.

Mlađan Dinkić, Minister of Economy and Regional Development, pointed to the importance of such investment in such non-developed area as the south of Serbia. According to his words, "Knauf" is an example of successful privatization, because the buyers invested 17m EUR, although obligatory investments amounted to about 5m EUR.

Company "Knauf" is one of the largest manufacturers of insulation material in the world. It has 122 workers in Serbia and it produces more than 40,000 tons of stone wool a year.
