"Kronospan" to buy land for construction of factory in Lapovo in October 2007 - owners to get 300 EUR for 1 are

Austrian company "Kronospan", which intends to have factory for production of panel building material, such as plywood, mediapan and laminate, built in Lapovo, will start to buy land in Industrial zone, next to Belgrade - Niš highway, already in October 2007.

Total of 55 ha will be bought at price of 300 EUR per are. In addition to production halls, a new access road 6 km long will be built.

According to the words of Petar Kajdl, the owner of company "Kronospan", 50m USD will be invested in the first phase of construction. At the beginning of the work, 300 people will be hired. Once the whole project is finished, 300 trucks with 100 cars loaded with goods will be leaving this factory on a daily basis.

Dragan Zlatković, Mayor of Lapovo, says that the offer arrived for investments from German-Austrian company "Najson-Kramer". This company wants to buy 27 ha in Kraište, of which price will also be 300 EUR per are. They would build a factory and a showroom for production of dredges and other building machines.
