Vranje's kindergarten "Naše dete" received donation worth 42,984 EUR from the Government of Japan. This donation was handed yesterday (September 4, 2007) by the councilor of the Embassy of Japan to Belgrade, Teruhiko Shinada, on behalf of the Government of Japan.

After he signed contract on donation, Shinada pointed out that the Government of Japan had invested about 190m EUR in 90 facilities in Serbia, half of which were schools and the other half were medical facilities.

The contract was signed in the presence of the Head of the region of Pčinj, Slavko Nikolić, who asked the Government of Japan to pay attention to the region of Pčinj on the occasion of distribution of aid in Serbia, because that region was the least developed region in Serbia.

Thanking for the donation, Mayor of Vranje, Miroljub Stojčić, said to Shinada that there were eight kindergartens in Vranje and that another one, nursery school, would be built in 2008.

After he handed the aid, Shinada and the kids from this institution watched the movie about Japanese culture and customs.
