Foreign exchange of Serbia totals EUR 18,63 billion in the first eight months 2015

Total foreign trade exchange of Serbia, since January until August 2015 has been app. EUR 18,63 billion which is 7,2% more than in the same period last year, the Republic Statistical Bureau has announced today.

In dollars, total foreign exchange of Serbia in the first eight months was USD 20,7 m or 12, 5% lower than in the same period last year.

Deficit in the first eight months according to data from the RSB was app. EUR 2,69 billion which makes a decrease of 2,2% compared to the same period 2014.

Coverage of import with export totals 74,7% and is higher compared to the same period last year when it totaled 72,6%.

In the structure of export and import in line with the product purpose, the most common are products for reproduction (53,7% and 59,5%), FMCG (37,7 and 18,5%) and equipment (8,6% and 11,8%).


In export, the main foreign currency parameters were Italy (USD 1,52 billion), Germany (1,07 billion) and Bosnia and Hercegovina (768,6 m).

When it comes to import, the main foreign partners of Serbia were Germany (USD 1,47 billion) and Italy (USD 1,27 billion) and Russia (1,22 billion), China (961,1 m) and Hungary (55,6 m).
