"Jat tehnika" signed contract worth 3m EUR with British air transportation company "JET2.com"

Company for maintenance of airplanes "Jat tehnika" has signed 3m EUR worth of contract on five-year cooperation with British low-tariff airliner "JET2.com". According to the contract, "Jat tehnika" will become exclusive servicing company for air fleet of "JET2.com“, which consists of 23 airplanes "boeing 737-300".

Realization of the contract will start with the overhaul of six airplanes prior to March 2008, and the value of concrete deal is 3m EUR. "Jat tehnika“ has also signed contract on cooperation with Russian airliner "Siberia Airlines“, and it has been estimated that the "new contracts will change the position of Jat tehnika before the announced privatization".

According to the decision of the Commission of the Government of Serbia for restructuring and privatization of public companies, Privatization Agency started procedure last month for selection of financial advisor for privatization of "Jat Tehnika", which should be completed soon.
