LJAJIC: We are suffering huge damage for border crossing closures
(Rasim Ljajic) The Minister of trade, toruism and telecommunications, Rasim Ljajic, said that Serbia will suffer huge damage for closing of boundaries with neighbors for migrant crisis.
- Damage could definitely be measured in millions of euros since Croatia and Hungary are important foreign trade partners of Serbia. Apart from that, both countries are transition ones when it comes to placement of goods from Serbia to third markets – Ljajic said in his interview for Kurir.
This, Ljajic added, is a direct damage while indirect one will be bugger especially if we take into consideration notes to potential investors in the region.
He outlined that everyone is clear that refugees who are currently in Serbia, do not want to stay here.
- Out of 170.000 who entered our country since the beginning of the year, a small number of them has asked for care home – Ljajic said.
He outlined that he is proud of the fact that Serbia reacted this way to crisis.
Speaking about privatization of Telekom, the minister of trade, tourism and telecommunication, in his interview for Kurir, said that the company "will not be sold at any cost and not below the price we assume is adequate".
