Administration "halts" cold storage in Beloljin - German investment totaling EUR 5 m still on hold

President of the Prokuplje municipality, Miroljub Paunovic, says that it is evident the plant will start operating but that preparation of project and technical documentation has been in progress, detailed regulation and that the process takes time.

As announced early this year, works on construction of the cold storage should have started in March and the contract on cooperation of the German company and local self-governance was signed in mid-January. The municipality is obliged to provide land on 4 ha in Beoljin at Prokuplje while investor will built production and processing departments.

Apart from Leoni, this should be second investment in the previous five years which would change financial situation and decrease unemployment rate in Prokuplje.
