Two strategic partners express interest in Petrohemija - Overhaul finished, commissioning this week

Overhaul of Pancevo-based Petrohemija is finished, and this petrochemical plant will be put back in operation this week. HIP Petrohemija General Manager Velimir Unkovic told the Serbian national broadcasting corporation RTS that there are two strategic partners interested in this company which achieves positive business results in 2015.
Velimir Unkovic said in his guest appearance on the RTS news show Dnevnik that there were two partners interested in Petrohemija, but he explained that no concrete agreement had been reached with either of them to date.
- Considering that we achieved good business results in 2015, I am sure a solution for Petrohemija will be found in cooperation with the Government of Serbia - said Unkovic.
As Unkovic pointed out, Petrohemija has so far invested about EUR 4 million in energy efficiency projects and it will continue to invest in these projects in the following period as well. It was also stressed that the new partner was expected to invest additional EUR 160 million in the modernization and construction of new factory.
Petrohemija is one of 17 companies that the state protects from creditors for one year - until May 2016. Already in 2015, this petrochemical producer stopped making losses and started paying their bills on time.
