Sony warns that its waterproof phones should not be used under water

If you intend to buy Sony Xperia Z5 to take photos or make videos under the water, think again.

Although the resistance to water is the key marketing weapon for selling this device, Sony has announced in a release that it will scrap the guarantee for every phone used under the water. Of all phones from the Xperia series, the smartphone Z5 has the highest IP68 level of resistance to water and dust, which means it was tested for 30 minutes at a depth of 1.5 meters.

However, people at Sony warn that these tests were performed in a laboratory. In other words, this company does not guarantee that the device will work if used for taking photos or making videos under the water.
