The head of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) for Serbia, Daniel Berg, said that there has been progress in Serbia in usage of loans for roads, railway and energy sector which this institution provides.

- When it comes to the ones not used, I would cancel loans just like that. The Drac port can be a true window for Serbia and the rest of the Balkans - EBRD head said for RTS.

Countries at this developmental stage should spend four to five percent of GDP for public investments but Serbia is not managing that so this year it will stay below three percent which is estimated as a very bad result, RTS reminds.

When asked how much we have to pay for some of the loans we do not use, Berg outlined that all banks provide funds, define also fee which is paid and that is the case with EBRD as well.

He outlined EBRD fee is low and this organization has a standard fee of half percentage.

When asked where the biggest potential in our country and where the obstacles are, Berg replied that infrastructure is one of the obstacles.
