Yura is planning construction of another plant in Leskovac - Jobs for 3000 employees

The mayor of Leskovac, Goran Cvetanovic has said today that South Korean company, Yura, will build another plant in Leskovac and hire 3.000 people.


Cvetanovic said at the press conference that he has discussed today the plant for the representatives of the Yura management.

In 2010, Yura opened a plant for production of electrical cables in Leskovac and now it has 1.692 employees with an average gross salary of EUR 362. Hiring of 276 employees more has been in progress.

the future plant of the company will be built at one of two locations in Leskovac where former state-owned companies were which no longer operate. These plants will be offered September 18 at the auction which the city of Leskovac will organize and try to purchase them for the needs of new investors.

He said construction depends on purchase of these locations and the support of the Government of Serbia in terms of incentives for opening new vacancies.
