Foreign trade deficit in Serbia has been decreasing

Foreign trade deficit of Serbia in the first seven months in 2015 was EUR 2,35 billion which is 2,7% less than in the same period last year, the Republic Statistical Bureau has published today.

As announced, export in the January-July period totaled EUR 7 billion EUR which is an increase of 8,7%, while import totaled EUR 9,4 billion, which is an increase of 5,6% compared to the same period last year. In dollars, this seven-month trade deficit of Serbia totals USD 2,63 billion which is 20,8% less than in the same period last year.

Exports totaled USD 7,87 billion which is a fall of 11,5%, and imports totaled app. USD 10 billion or 14% less than in the same period last year.

Fall of export and import and overall foreign trade, in dollars, is a result of strengthening of American currency both compared to dinar and euro.
