Nova Ljubljanska Banka (NLB) generated a profit of EUR 40.1 million in the first half of this year, as much as four million more than in H1 2014.
The biggest Slovenian bank said in a release that its operations had been positive in the previous two years, ever since the state recapitalized it with EUR 2 billion, Tportal reports.
NLB's net revenue in the first six months of this year was at EUR 243.6 million, down 3% from the same period last year.
Janko Medja, the director of this Slovenian bank, stated that higher revenue from interest, cost reduction and smaller reserves for so-called bad loans contributed to the positive business result.
