As the Serbian government announced in a release, Vucic said that at a meeting with Suma Chakrabarti, the president of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), with whom he spoke about the projects that Serbia was going to present at today's Western Balkans Summit.
Chakrabarti stressed that the EBRD would do everything to accelerate the implementation of that extremely significant project for the entire region.
The president of the EBRD pointed out that he personally often cited Serbia as an example of successful fiscal reforms. He used the opportunity to invite PM Vucic to attend the Investment Summit in London in February 2016, it is said in the release. The release also reads that Vucic asked the EBRD for advice and assistance in attracting foreign investments and support to the World Bank's projects related to the privatization of companies, especially those undergoing restructuring. He also asked the officials of this finance institution to share their experience in developing the entrepreneurial spirit, the lack of which he believes to be the biggest obstacle to quick economic recovery of Serbia.
