Construction of heating plant powered by biological fuel to start in Prokuplje - investment of 8m EUR

Construction of heating plant powered by biological fuel will soon start in Prokuplje. This plant will be unique in this part of Europe and it will be made ready for production, maybe already in the next heating season.

- The contract has been signed with company "Srbijašume", which will be the main supplier of bio-fuel to future heating plant in Prokuplje - said Slobodan Drašković, Manager of newly formed company "KD", which will build that unit.

According to his words, 50 new jobs will be created within the scope of implementation of that, as he estimated, amitious project. He also announced signing of the contracts with local institutions that will be getting energy from that heating plant.

For construction of heating plant in Prokuplje, which will use waste wood and other types of biological fuel as raw materials, as well as for the 10-km gas pipeline through that municipality, Slovakian bank "Dexia" approved the loan in amount of 8m EUR to the company from that country, "KD Ekoenergic group", with the repayment period of 10 years. It is expected that the works will be completed in few months.
