Austria's banking group Raiffeisen is going to close 15 offices in Hungary next month, CEO Heinz Vidner told the press in Budapest. He added that the bank had no plan to take additional austerity measures, explaining that Raiffeisen would have 67 offices and 2,000 workers in Hungary after closing aforementioned offices, MTI news agency reports.
Raiffeisen turned a profit of HUF 1.8 billion (EUR 5.8 million) in the first half of the year, which is a great result if we know that the bank made a loss of HUF 26.2 billion (EUR 84.7 million) in the same period last year.
Until June 2015, the Group's net profit has dropped 16% to EUR 288 million from EUR 344 million in the same period in 2014.
