Regulation on incentives in movie industry adopted

The Government of Serbia adopted at yesterday’s meeting Regulation on incentives for investors so that it produces audio and visual work in the Republic of Serbia, the Ministry of trade communicated.

This regulation governs terms and the method for assigning incentives to investors which in the Republic of Serbia produces audio and visual work and in order to support business activities through increase of employment rate in movie industry as well as promotion of potential of Serbia in this field through infrastructure, production and service activities.

Incentives in line with this regulation are provided as grants thorough return of qualified cost generated in the Republic of Serbia.

They are assigned in the amount totaling 20% of qualified costs which an investor generated in the Republic of Serbia.
Financial incentives for investors in audio and visual industry would enable that bigger projects come to Serbia, with high budgets which would stay in the country longer using higher number of locations, especially the ones outside Belgrade, it was communicated in the announcement.
