VUCIC: Airport and Air Serbia soon ready for direct flights to USA

Vucic said that both the Airport and national airline, Air Serbia, are profitable companies which will be ready for direct flights to USA in the next few months. As he said, most likely, Airbus A330 plane will fly to USA which will be purchased on leasing and will cost USD 500.000 per month.

He said the government is very satisfied with the business results of Nikola Tesla airport and national airline Air Serbia and stated the data that August 1, Airport reached a record and Air Serbia in the third week of July had the best week and cabin occupation of 93%.

Vucic said Air Serbia is expected to be profitable this year as well stating that it has &% passengers more than last year and that capacity fulfillment is higher than ever.

The prime minister mentioned that both the airport and Air Serbia will work together to comply with all technical terms with respect to luggage transfer for flights from Belgrade to USA, i.e. New York. He added that one of the options is to connect flights to USA with flight to Tel Aviv and Beirut.
