Nikola Tesla airport invests EUR 21 m in capacity improvement - Chance for local construction workers

Prime minister, Aleksandar Vucic, has visited today renovated Terminal 1 at the Belgrade’s airport Nikola Tesla and announced that by September 2016, EUR 21 m will be invested from the funds of the Airport for the reconstruction and capacity building.

Renovated Terminal 1 of the Nikola Tesla airport was put into operations June 23 and thus Belgrade’s airport started strong investment cycle in the planned value higher than EUR 20 m in the next 12 months where Terminal 2 will be built.

As it was announced, capacity of Nikola Tesla will thus by the end of 2016 increase by 40%.

For passengers which apply for flight at Terminal 1, direct access to waiting rooms and finger halls is enabled which shortens the length of their moving through the airport building and passenger dispatch process has been simplified and new 1.450m2 of office space was developed for expansion of airport capacities as well as new commercial facilities.

Belgrade’s airport offers to local construction companies participation in the existing projects of airport capacity expansion totaling EUR 20 m.
