Russia sent two proposals on Turkish stream to Ankara

Russia sent to Turkey two proposals with respect to intergovernmental agreement on Turkish stream, for one and for four lines of gas pipeline, representative of Russian Ministry of Energy said for TAS agency.

- We sent two proposals to Turkey, one for the line and the other one for four lines. Now, Turkish side is considering the options – no-name official said on Friday, TAS reports.

Russian minister of energy, Aleksandar Novak said last week that Russia is ready to sign intergovernmental agreement on one line of Turkish stream in the next two weeks and that they are waiting of the reply of Turkey to their proposal, Tanjug reports.

One source from the Ministry of energy said before to TAS agency that at the level of country heads it gradual project implementation has been agreed.

Two parties have currently been considering agreement which implies one line of Turkish stream and which would bring Russian gas only to Turkey. Agreement on construction of more lines of gas pipeline which would then supply with gas EU countries would be made in a separate document.

Russian oil giant, Gazprom, is planning to completely halt supply of Europe with gas through Ukraine until 2018 with the help of new gas pipeline through Turkey.
