One hour from Europe to USA - Airbus patented plane model with unique rocket engine

Airbus started with the implementation of one of the most important projects in air traffic. Namely, the company patented plane model which will develop high speeds. Travel from Europe to USA could soon last for only one hour. For instance, now, travel from London and New York lasts for seven hours.

The plane will have turbo jet engines and special rocket drive which will enable it to develop high speeds.

Patent was approved by USA authorities four years after Airbus submitted documentation.

It is expected the new plane develops speed double the one legendary "Concorde" could which could develop speed of 2.172 km per hour. "Concorde" had its last flight in 2003 when it was withdrawn from the service.
