Monument to Rocky in Žitište

Monument to movie character Rocky Balboa, the boxer who was played by Silvester Stallone in the namesake movies, has been finished and will be officially installed in Žitište next weekend. According to the announcement of the organizer, both domestic and foreign media are very interested in this event.

- The initiative for erection of monument seemed unreal to everyone - the Deputy Mayor of Žitište, Zoran Babić, points out. Seriousness of intentions was proved in the past months by all people gathered in the Organization for Erection of Monument to Rocky and great number of enthusiasts.

The monument to Rocky will be officially revealed on Saturday, August 18, in the center of Žitište. The monument, sculpted by sculptor Boris Staparac from Dalj, will be installed in the park of Forbidden Art.
