Cement plant Holcim Srbija from Popovac at Paracin joined the global company for construction
materials, CRH, Information department
of the cement plant has communicated.
- Today reflects big crossroads for Holcim Srbija and cement plant Novi Popovac
which is joining CRH group as a part of the biggest transaction ever – Communications
Manager at Holcim, Aleksandar Milosevic, says.
This transaction is a part of global agreement based on which CRH acquired certain property of Lafarge and Holcim totaling EUR 6,5 billion, it was communicated in the announcement and reminded that CRH today announced the acquisition process of Holcim Srbija has ended.
Decision of CRH to acquire these companies shows trust in
their strong impact and performance in the region, it was estimated in the
announcement and it was also added that “ they now, as a part of CRH, will have
an access to global company expertise, best practices, innovations and skis of
entire CRH group".
The group has a leading position in Europe as well as strategic position at
developing markets in Asia and South America. CRH is at the "Fortune 500" list and
is a constitutional member of FTSE 100 index
and ISEQ 20 with American Depositary
Shares at the New York stock exchange.
