Area around building of Airport "Nikola Tesla" closed for traffic

Starting August 4th, it is not allowed to park private automobiles or to drive passengers to the entrance to Airport "Nikola Tesla" any more. The vehicles will be redirected from locations for international arrivals to the places intended for parking.

- After the incident at the airport in Glasgow, for security reasons, road traffic has been moved away from the vicinity of the building. In accordance with standards and recommended practice that regulates the way of reception and dispatchment of passengers in international civil air transport, this segment of traffic regulation on the territory of airport has also been reorganized - people from Airport "Nikola Tesla" announced.

They are reminding passengers and those who meet them that they can park their automobiles on the parking lot in front of the terminal building, as well as in garage that is in the vicinity of the terminal.

Until recently, the practice was that private automobiles can not be parked in front of the airport building, but it was allowed to the citizens to drive their cars to the entrance of the building and stay there for minute or two, so that passengers could come out of the car and enter the building. Starting August 4, this practice is abolished and traffic police will direct all automobiles to parking lot and garage.
