The aldermen of Belgrade decided yesterday to sell part of the property of PKB at the starting price that equals 51% of the market value of that part of the company's property on 31 December 2014.
Explaining this decision, Assistant Mayor Borko Milosavljevic said that agricultural land would be put up for sale, and not the city building land.
As he noted at yesterday's session, the aim is to start using this agricultural land in the field of agriculture. He also added that tender terms would be clearly defined and that a successful partner company would be sought to enable agricultural production.
In that way, as he said, the interest of the city is protected because speculations about prospective buyers bidding for the city building land will be prevented.
He explained that the price cannot be set to equal 100% of the market value because the company capital is not for sale, only part of the property.
As mentioned in the decision, in case of unsuccessful first sale attempt, the property of PKB will be offered for sale for 30% of the market value in the second round.
