Reconstructed part of Kruščica - Bela Crkva road put into operation

Minister of Infrastructure, Velimir Ilić, and the Ambassador of Czech Republic, Ivan Jestržab, have opened the reconstructed part of Kruščica - Bela Crkva road and announced new projects that will be realized in these municipalities.

Reconstruction of five kilometers of Kruščica - Bela Crkva road was financed by Czech Republic with 1.5m RSD within the scope of the Program for foreign development cooperation.

Minister Ilić said to the press that the Government of Serbia had set aside part of the funds for reconstruction of roads in Municipality of Bela Crkva and announced new investments in that municipality. Ilić also added that the largest investments would be placed in infrastructure, while 10m RSD would be set aside for reconstruction of facades on religious facilities in that municipality.

- The plan is that the facades on catholic church of St. Ana, built in 1806, and orthodox church of St. Peter and Paul, built in 1804, be reconstructed, and the budget for works on each of them amounts to 5m RSD - said Ilić.

Minister said that the Government of Serbia would back every good project in that municipality. He also added that, so far, none good project of local community had not been rejected.

Ambassador Jestržab signed the contracts with the representatives of Bela Crkva for three new local projects, which will also be financed from the Program for development cooperation between Czech Republic and Serbia, of which value is 11.5m EUR for period from year 2006 to year 2009.

According to Jestržab, these are the projects for construction of toilets in sports facilities in Kruščica, construction of playgrounds for children in Bela Crkva and reconstruction of museum of Czech national minority in Czech village. The value of these projects, according to his words, amounts to few thousand euros, and the works will be completed prior to the end of the year.
