Construction of new interconnection with Montenegro begins 2018

Construction of the new 400kV interconnection between Serbia and Montenegro will commence 2018, Serbian Mining and Energy Minister Aleksandar Antic and Vladimir Kavaric, the Montenegrin economy minister and co-president of the Joint Committee for Economic Cooperation, agreed Friday (24 July 2015).

Kavaric noted that all necessary activities for the start of construction of that interconnection would be completed by 2017.

Antic voiced his belief that Serbia and Montenegro would manage to provide serious funding for this project in agreement with European institutions.
