Japanese media group "Nikei" bought an economic newspaper "Financial Times" from British Publishing company "Pearson" yesterday. The plan is to enter the international market, following the examples of numerous Japanese companies that are struggling for their place in the world economy , at the moment when Japanese economy is stagnating.

- I'm very proud to be united with "Financial Times", one of the most prestigious newspaper companies in the world. We share the same values - said the president and the CEO of the "Nikei" company, Cuneo Kita.

- "Nikei" wanted to enter the global market, but was not successful. If you want to be a global player, you need to have a global range, and the only option for that is to buy something that is already global - states professor of journalism and media at the Tokio University Mejiro, Yoshikazu Mikami.

The complany launched a site and a magazine in English at the end of 2013, trying to introduce Japanese business news in the world.
