Agreement on direct flights to USA confirmed

The introduction of direct flights from Serbia to the United States can be expected at the end of 2015 or during the first quarter of next year, Zorana Mihajlovic, Serbia's deputy prime minister and minister of transportation and infrastructure, has said.

According to her, domestic airline company and the airport are ready for the introduction of direct flights after more than two decades. Precise time for this to happen depends on commercial intrest of the airline companies.

Serbia would be the only country in this part of Europe that has direct flights to the USA, which would have a good effect on Serbian economy, if foreign passengers gravitated to our airport, added Mihajlovic.
