'JohnsonElectrics' invests 50 million euros and employs 2.400 workers

The representatives of the Government of Serbia and the management of ‘Johnson Electrics’ company signed today the Memorandum on understanding which involves further investments in the amount of 50 mil EUR and employment of additional 2.400 workers. The Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic attended the signing of the contract.
The Memorandum was signed – on behalf of the Government the Economy Minister Zeljko Sertic, the city of Nis, the mayor Zoran Perisic, and on behalf of the ‘Johnson Electrics’ CEO Markus Schmitz, the vice president of the company for Europe Ostin Vang and the representative the of ‘Johnson Electrics’ Loran Cardona.
The enlargement of the existing capacities should be, as planned, realized within the next five years.
At the moment this company employs 365 people and the three quarters of them are operators employed from the register of the National employment Service in Nis.
Until the end of 2015, the envisaged number of employees is 582 workers and then, as announced, this number will rise proportionally and in 2020 it will reach 3400 workers.
The ‘Johnson Electrics’ company is engaged in production of motors, spirals, switchers, flex circles and microelectronics, signed the first contract with the Government of Serbia at the end of 2013, which involved the 15 mil EUR investment, the building of 10.000 m2 and employment of 1000 workers until the end of the middle of 2016.
The ‘Johnson Electrics’ is a global company with its headquarters in Hong Kong and employs more than 30.000 people in more than 30 countries in the world.
