Permanent solutions for displaced and socially endangered persons in Smederevo

Municipality of Smederevo will help refugees, internally displaced and socially endangered population to start or to develop small private business, which will enable them to work and have stable source of incomes.

In cooperation with German NGO HELP, Municipality of Smederevo will participate in realization of project "Permanent solutions for displaced persons through housing solutions and income backup" with 1.7m RSD for activities on its territory, for commencement and development of small business through allotment of donations.

The project is financed by EU through European Agency for Reconstruction. It is realized by HELP in cooperation with local non-government organization REA (Regional Economic Aid). Allotted aid will be distributed exclusively in form of equipment or material, primarily for quality business ideas, and the single amount of aid is 96,000 RSD or about 1,500 EUR. The aid will not be given in cash.

- German non-government organization HELP will organize two presentations in Municipality of Smederevo, on August 16th and 23rd. On that occasion, the forms will be given to all those interested to fill them out. According to the plan, 40 projects for starting business will be financed - said Snežana Savić-Stoiljković, Head of the Department of Economy in Municipality of Smederevo.
