Cars with internet access underway

Huawei Consumer Business Group (BG) and Shanghai General Motors (GM) announced partnership in production of cars with internet access, companies have communicated.

According to the agreement, tele-mathic solution of Huawei which provides services such as connection though 4G network, information on location, car tracking with phone, automatic connectivity to support services, distant control, etc. will be installed in some GM vehicles in advance.

- Cars are the next smart mobile device and Huawei is directed on network infrastructures of capacities which will be able to support connection at any moment, Richard Yu, CEO, Huawei Consumer Business Group said.

According to the report of "Telefonica", by 2020, 90% of cars will have internet access which means internet network will become standard equipment in the future.
