Kostunica met General Director of “Aeroflot” company – Russians don’t give up from strategic partnership with “Jat Airways”

Prime Minister of Serbian Government, Vojislav Kostunica, met yesterday (August, 1st, 2007) with the General Director of Russian Airline company “Aeroflot”, Valerije Okulov, and on this occasion he welcomed “Aeroflot” to participate in the elections for strategic partner of “Jat Airways”.

Kostunica pointed out in their discussion the significance and strengthening of Serbian – Russian cooperation, adding that “Aeroflot” was important company within the branch of airline traffic, as it was stated to the press by the Public Relations office of Serbian Government.

Serbian Prime Minister said that the Government of Serbia had started a procedure for the elections of privatization advisor for “Jat Airways” who would suggest the strategy of privatization.

Okulov expressed the interest on behalf of “Aeroflot” for strategic partnership with “Jat Airways” company.

The present persons on the meeting were also Minister for infrastructure Velimir Ilic and Minister of economy and regional development, Mladjan Dinkic, as well as Russian Ambassador in Serbia, Aleksandar Aleksejev, as stated in the announcement.
