Driving Yugo 26 years old smoothly from north to south of USA

They took a 1989 Yugo made in Kragujevac on a trip 1,435 kilometers long from Boise, Idaho in the northwest of America to Los Angeles, and the general opinion is that it cooperated in 90% of cases.

A team of the popular U.S. website for used cars - Edmunds.com, consisting of two American guys, tested Yugo, a car made by Kragujevac-based Zastava, which was exported to the USA from Serbia in late 1980s.

They bought a white Yugo (Yugo GVL) in used cars market in Boise for USD 950, ignoring the warning that the vehicle has certain issues and that it is not recommended for the long journey to Los Angeles.

However, everything went just fine.

On their way to LA, they tested the maximum speed of this car and concluded it was 140km/h, admittedly on a mild slope, while the highest speed on a flat road was Na 138km/h.
