Bubalo announced fight against disloyal competition and monopoly – the Law of competition protection will be also changed

Minister of trade and services, Predrag Bubalo, announced today (July, 30th, 2007) more efficient fight against disloyal competition and monopoly.

- In the Law of competition protection and in the activities of the same-named council and commissions have been noticed some mistakes that need to be taken care of, and the following period will be for sure marked with anti monopoly fight, which exists in the trade economies – said Bubalo.

According to his words, by changing this law there will be raised the limit of approved capital concentration in a specific branch, in order to avoid small meaningless subjects appearance in the timetable of supervising bodies, Commissions and Courts. Bubalo said that he expected that solving of monopoly cases would be more efficient, but he didn’t express his opinion weather “Delta” and “Salford” were in the monopoly position.

- This is upon Anti monopoly commission to decide, and it they already have one trial in the process with ‘Delta’.

Bubalo estimated that we could still provide space for large market centers, because they bring large investments.

- I expect arrival of the Swedish company “Ikea”, and soon big “Plaza” system will appear in Serbia, with Jewish capital – said Bubalo.
